Don’t want to inconvenience anybody, but Tucker Carlson has completed a 3-part series on the January 6 “insurrection” that will be released tommorow on the special Fox app/channel/whatever “FOX Nation”. So far, based on a one minute 30 second promo spot the political left and the usual media crew have melted down over it.

So they’ve decided to offer a 90 day free subscripton to “FOX Nation” by simply going to tuckercarlson.com and signing up. I’ve been interested in some of the things he’s been doing over there anyways so we’ll definitely be taking advantage.

Thought you all might be interested also.

I saw the promo the other day.

(As an aside, it is obvious to me that the “insurrection” narrative can not survive.)

Am I understanding it right that this is not going to be shown on regular Fox News TV? The only way to access it is to sign up at tuckercarlson.com?

That seems odd. Or maybe I’m missing something.

Either way, looking forward to seeing what they have.

No, it’s not going to be on regular Fox News. This is a separate subscription channel filled with stuff that doesn’t fit the traditional “news” format. Tucker does special theme shows and long form interviews and the rest of the personalities do similar stuff, patriotic history, true crime, etc.

But you go through Tucker’s site to get 90 days free access. I’ve seen peeks of some of his interviews and I think you’ll like more than a few of them, too.

That feels a little disappointing to me.

Assuming for the moment that he’s come up with a set of facts that are not generally known, it would be better if they got the widest possible audience.

Putting them behind a paywall (even with a 90 day trial) perfectly tees up the “fake news” argument: Just Fox News in their silo peddling fake information.

True. But what alternative is there? The DOJ is still holding 600 or so insurrectionists awaiting trial some time towards the end of NEXT year on basically misdemeanor charges of walking around where they shouldn’t. My son still has a fit if you say only one person died that day. Like the autistic tragedy you posted a couple days ago, is anyone going to see it and suddenly change their minds? And don’t even start on COVID.

But for me, it’s election day in Virginia in Loudoun County and elsewhere and it’s well into “Fuck Joe Biden” time. The tide’s turning naturally so if it’s out there somewhere safe, it’s time for broader exposure will come.

At least I think.

There is narrative, and there is reality.

A healthy politic keeps them closely aligned.

A diseased politic allows them to drift apart. Drift apart far enough, and one of two things happens: Either there is a severe and brutal correction, or the whole thing collapses.

North Korea has an official philosophy called “Juche” which more or less explicitly states that reality is entirely malleable by man. Their result is an example of collapse.

1/6 is an interesting case. Those who continue to say things like “the worst insurrection since the Civil War” are eventually going to have to confront their cognitive dissonance. The risk is that such a moment brings a lot of ugly with it.

And until then I’ll continue to be entertained by baseless conspiracy theories.
