In the news, Mark and Patricia McCloskey, the “lawn lawyers” who stood their ground against BLM protesters on their opulent property last year plead out to misdemeanor charges and total fines of $2750–which is about like fining me 14 dollars and 50 cents.
Patricia McCloskey, who menaced the marching crowd with her finger on the trigger of a handgun, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor harassment and was ordered to pay a fine of $2,000. Her husband, Mark McCloskey, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor fourth-degree assault for threatening the passersby with an AR-15 rifle. He was fined $750..
…The couple will keep their law licenses and there’s nothing stopping them from buying more guns in the future.
In other news:
It looks like the New Jalisco Cartel used their jammers and SOF personnel training to steal 7 millions rounds of ammo destined for US stores. So Mexico is ever so slightly more a failed state, and US shooters will have to wait even longer for Cabelas to have .22LR back in stock:
(as an aside, the vid clip at the bottom of the article has been making the rounds. I am told that the odd antennae packs on these dude’s backs are cell jammers for exactly this type of high end hood rat shit.)
Moving on, there’s Portland:
Officers who serve on the Portland Police Bureau’s specialized crowd control unit, known as the Rapid Response Team, voted to resign from the team during a meeting Wednesday night.
The unprecedented move by about 50 officers, detectives and sergeants to disband their own team came a day after a team member, Officer Corey Budworth, was indicted, accused of fourth-degree assault stemming from a baton strike against a protester last summer.
There goes whatever was left of their latent ability to control riots. Just in time for Portland’s homicide rate to be on track to break the previous record, in 2020.
Aaaaand, in Minneapolis, the locals report that they now have their own chaz/chop-type “autonomous zone,” called boogie world:
Only this one is in an upscale, trendy shopping district with 800 square foot condos going for 200k+.
Again, posting because, A: Many—including me—tried to point out these obvious predictions back when they were just predictions, and B: lessons of history are lost to history without documenting a little history, as it happens.
Until next time,
