Remember the American-led coalition targeting SCUD launchers during the Iraq War? I wonder why, 20 years later, with all the advances in drones, the Israelis cannot target rocket launchers in Gaza, from drones, at the moment they fire and as the flash is detected (?)
One answer may be that, yes, they can, but that the rockets are being set up at night from cheap launchpads, and are then launched remotely by people 2 miles away. The rockets are small and presumably homemade. By the time a “launch pad’ is destroyed, the little rocket is winging its merry way towards Tel Aiv.
I am congenitally sympathetic to Israel but I really don’t know if the people in Gaza have legitimate grievances. Maybe they do, but they need someone other than HAMAS to lead them. If I were King of the World … well, that’s a separate thread.
