All y’all are probably too young to remember this, but I was in high school when this aired. 46 million vaccinated, 4000 or so were maimed (Guillanne-Barr syndrome), and some $4 billion in settlements. Enjoy.
You know the saying about history may not repeat, but it rhymes…
A year ago if I were to say that there would be vaccine passports required for travel, work, and access to mainstream entertainment, people would have looked at me like I had all the tinfoil on my head.
And yet, here we are.
The dissonance is too much.
People, initially, were eager to line up for the jab. They were thrilled to be delivered from the pandemic.
Then the truth emerged. The jab, by and large, does next to nothing. Protect you from infection? No. Protect you from infecting others? No. Protect you from getting sick? No. Protect you from getting really, really sick and dying? Maybe/probably.
And side effects? No one dare speak of them.
So we’re faced with a choice: Do we own up to the fact that the jab hasn’t lived up to our hopes, or do we double down? Apparently we decided to double down.
That’s the dissonance I find so alarming. The more the jab was exposed as feeble, the more strident the demands to get it.
Finding yourself in Opposite Land is always a tell.
