I am seeing a time in the not-too-distant future where gen 1 Somali and SE Asian parents retain older, former math professors to tutor their kids in graveyards and basements between 1 and 3am.
I wonder how Bill Gates would feel about MS hiring grads from this sort of schooling? Serious question.
I am all in favor of increasing pathways for underserved populations to access a good STEM education, but setting the cruise control on lowest common den… er… “no expectations” is probably not going to work.
