RE: Army Ranger Commander Fired

Without more detail, it’s hard to say. Certainly, a commander who commits a crime (harassment, rape, etc.) against a subordinate needs to go, on one extreme.

On the other, our elite SOF personnel will have to deal with all sorts of hardened opponents; it’s not the break room at Apple or REI. Filling paper over microaggressions against people who will have to sort walking problems who killed their first humans at age 12, or were forced to name, feed, and take care of a dog for 2 weeks, and then kill, cook, and eat it, is not a recipe for long-term success.

I’m sure the truth lies somewhere in the middle, and without being privy to it, I just don’t know what to make of the issue.
